New Study: Measure A Means More Affordable Housing, and Jobs
New Study: Measure A Means More Affordable Housing, and Jobs
A new Study, Commissioned by The Angeleno Project, shows that every dollar invested by the new measure generates 2.5x in economic output for the County.
Our Ten Principles:
Address anti-Black racism in all it’s forms.
Leaders must be committed to making progress on an anti-racist agenda and to understanding the history that has produced these outcomes.
Prioritize the marginalized in economic development.
Build an economy that prioritizes those who have been left or kept behind. We must promote a “caring economy,” to address longstanding racial disparities in labor markets.
Equal Access to Health Services for All
Everyone should be able to connect to health and mental health services, regardless of status.
Strengthen Non-Profits for Robust Civil Society
Los Angeles County must strengthen the nonprofit sector as a key part of civil society in the recovery.
End Homelessness with Universal Housing
We must not only end unsheltered homelessness in Los Angeles County, but also disrupt, dismantle, and rebuild the systems that allow our neighbors to fall into homelessness.
Equal Mobility and Voice for Immigrants
Moving forward, Los Angeles County must commit to insure accessibility, mobility, and voice for immigrants regardless of status.
Universal Education Access for All Children
Every student should have access to high-quality education and functional access to the internet.
Empower Communities & Redefine Success
Support community organizing and develop and deploy accurate metrics that can measure progress on racial equity, and hold systems accountable to performance.
Empower and Celebrate Youth Leadership
Los Angeles County must celebrate and support youth leadership and empowerment.
Align Business and Community for Equity
We need a new sense of public will that what was once deemed politically unfeasible – reducing police budgets, achieving digital equality, and investing fully in education – is now imperative.
